During a time when there is no peace amongst people around the world, the author of the story returns us to the importance of peace. As we all know, teaching our children something they will remember and treasure as grown-ups, must happen while they are still young. The author therefore tells us a story of a king who, after the death of his father, feels anger towards the mermaids. Even after he takes over his father's role, he does not want to make peace with these creatures that call the river their home. For this reason, Mother Nature feels anger towards the King, so there is no rainfall and the people are getting sick. They beg him to make peace with the mermaids, but he ignores them. At the end, the king realises that the best way to live is to make peace — for his children's and his kingdom's sake. In a nutshell: Leadership skills and humility are the two concepts that strongly feature in the story. As told, a lot can be achieved with humility and kindness. On the contrary, arrogance can poison a peaceful atmosphere. This is highlighted as a third concept, centering on the idea that whatever good existed before can be disturbed, and even eroded, especially when leadership is considered a main theme. The story has enough depth and creative flavor to cater to any reader's tastes. With a plot that is otherworldly and entertaining, yet relatable and empowering, it is a reminder of what it means to be truly human: of our capabilities; of our choices; and of the consequences of our actions — both good and bad. Your Majesty provides guidance for families and gives parents a reason to relax and bond with their children. By reading a story together, everyone is inspired to share their own experiences and exchange ideas. This is surely the best way to spend time, as these special moments will soon be treasured as priceless memories.
