A TURKISH FOLK STORY - a poor woodcutter has a cantakerous and distrusting wife. She follows him into the forest one day and falls into a well and dies. The Pixie of the Well gives him a magical wish. The Pixie also tells him of the Padishah's (King's) daughter who never smiles. The Padishah has offered the princess' hand in marriage to any man who can make her smile. And so beings the woodcutter's challenge.
