Judy Abbot is brought up at an orphanage, the John Grier Home. Her life changes when one of the trustees offers to send Judy to college. Her wealthy benefactor wants nothing in return apart from a monthly letter. Judy’s world at college is everything she dreamed of, including the beginning of a romance with the dashing Jervis Pendleton. Yet, through it all, Judy writes regular letters to her mysterious ‘Daddy- Long-Legs’ waiting for him to make an appearance.
