Jonnie, aged 8, and Susan, aged 6, have lost both their parents to the Covid-19 pandemic. They go to stay with their grandparents on a small South African farm, with lots of interesting animals, insects and snakes. The characters are fictional, but they experience the recognised effects of bereavement. This book is entertaining and educational for children aged 6 to10, but also provides guidance for child carers to recognise and manage apects of grief in children. It provides a glimpse into the life of a Christian family dealing with loss. It is book 1 in the series: "Jonnie and Susan". It has 22 pages with colourful and original illustrations.
