When Cain moves into a new house after his divorce, he finds a stack of unopened mail addressed to the previous owner of the place. Curious about the letters Cain realizes they are written by a young man in the military, Beckett who wasn't aware his mother had passed. Cain decides to write him back to tell him the news only for Cain to start a penpal friendship across the world. But when Beckett comes back after his tour Cain has to decide between the life he had with his wife and children as a straight man or the new love he's found with Beckett as a gay man.
