For a considerable period of time since the establishment of the the People's Republic of China War, there have been more narratives of the battlefield behind enemy lines in the study of the history of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and less involved in the frontal battlefield. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1978, the policy of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts has created a good environment for a comprehensive and in-depth study of the history of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and the study of the frontal battlefield has also been put on the agenda. Especially in recent years, a large number of works on the frontal battlefield of the War of Resistance Against Japan have been published, and many insightful articles have been published in newspapers and periodicals, which has brought unprecedented prosperity to the study of the frontal battlefield of the War of Resistance Against Japan.
