You wait for ever for a baby, and then three come along at once.
Actually, that wasn't really true, was it? Katie and Bradley had nervously awaited Dawn's safe arrival. She'd been born sixteen weeks premature, but John had every confidence that she'd thrive, thanks in part to his new incubator.
Joule, on the other hand, was a different kind of miracle. Alison and Kelvin both had Methuselah nanobots. Alison wasn't pregnant at the wedding on the 24th August, but Joule was due to make her entrance into the world on the 17th January... A full nine months later! (Time travel is confusing!)
Then there was baby Granger, Michelle, due to arrive towards the end of January or early February. John felt he was probably free of all responsibility for young Michelle, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure that Geraldine and Marcus agreed with him!
Of course, there were other events on the horizon. Would Urni expect John to visit Station X? John was almost certain that would involve him, and maybe some of his friends, being shot!
Then there was the less exciting side of John's life, helping out at the village school and building his new Secondary School, but surely that wouldn't involve too many surprises?
John was getting better at coping in social situations, but it seemed to him that Urni always liked to stir the pot...
